Valve Terminal Configurator with Festo
With Schematic Solution, Festo offers a web service that generates automatic circuit diagrams in seconds from the order code of an individually configured solution. This product was developed jointly with EPLAN. After configuring complex valve terminals online, Festo customers can then create electrical and pneumatic schematics in just a few minutes. The engineering foundation for this is delivered by EPLAN Engineering Configuration (EEC), EPLAN Fluid and EPLAN Electric P8.
Clever Configuration With EPLAN and Schematic Solution from Festo
How the valve terminal configurator works: Schematics are created based on EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Fluid, whereby EEC works as the generator in the background. As Festo customers enter the data into the configurator interface, EEC combines the stored data and generates the required information on the fly – including complete bills of materials, a 2D structural overview, PLC representation, a fluid power overview and a pneumatic representation. There is no need to manually create an EPLAN Project with all the necessary documents with Schematic Solution. This saves time and increases both project quality and productivity over the long term.
